I love my work.
My goal is to create spaces that are perfectly functional and expressively beautiful. I am passionate about honest use of natural materials and care for details that make the design. The design is always for the people, and therefore good communication and careful listening are the key to success.
Form. Function. Feeling.
Architecture should make people happy.
Every building has a purpose it has to serve. When that function is given a form that also has sense of appealing harmony the resulting space is lastingly beautiful.
As designers, we have to ask ourselves over and over again – How are people going to feel here? Is this what we want for them? Is this how they want to live? When inventing a space, I dream of it, I walk through it, I live in it and shape it through use.
There are places that become our homes out of duty, like school being a home of our youth, or office spaces later in life. We want to feel welcomed there too, to feel that we matter. Similarly, entering a bar or a shop we can find ourselves in a home-like place.
A welcoming, home-like dimension can be found in all spaces that express this intimate and individual approach, no matter their scale and purpose. Therefore the name – HOMEing.
All technical and functional criteria have to be met - like damp proofing and good construction techniques, but in the end it is the ability to induce an intended quality of experience that distinguishes the true design excellence.
Spaces inside architecture, interiors are particularly important. They are the interface between the house and the user. These spaces that we step in to visit or live in, influence our behavior and our feelings. This is our HOME. This is where our lives unfold.
